Conducted in depth, a daily basis, research into the pricing of crude oil in order to establish the most competitive price per barrel. Extensive analysis was performed in order to provide cost affective pricing for clients and senior colleagues who dependent upon this information on a daily basis. This information for the communication to the company’s many customers. Who served all of Greece and included Olympic Airways and E.B.O. Communication was achieved in a concise and detailed report, which was dispatched to predetermined locations. Furthermore, bi-monthly reports were generated to chart the trend of oil pricing for various types of clients and which were used in many corporate presentations, and that formed the basis for the company’s future planning and strategies.

As deputy security supervisor my duties enabled me to develop and perfect my negotiation and communication skills as liaised with many people of different background, experience and social standing. My efforts enabled me to identify and recognise difficult, hostile and potentially dangerous situations which where defused with professionalism and success. Moreover, one of the responsibilities included the maintenance of the company’s GPS tracking of all company’s vehicles in particular petrol tankers that were dispatched in and around Greece when transferring the company’s products. The responsibility was extremely high and required precise monitoring of vehicles and recording of data.

As an IT support technician and versatile member of a team within the 10 strongest departments o computing, micro computing and networks department. The team maintained over 1000 terminals in addition to Development and maintenance of Company’s Intranet, installing and updating many Microsoft Windows applications and migrating from Microsoft Windows NT to Microsoft Windows 2003 using Sysprep tool. The experience developed my ability to extract information regarding technical difficulties that colleagues where experiencing leading to the resolution and education of how to resolve future challenges of a similar nature if encountered again.
As a Front Desk Assistant my duties were wide and varied including upgrading mobile phones, uploading logos and ringtones, installing multimedia data and general repair of handsets. The experience required me to work with the general public in both stressful and high-pressure situations in order to meet customer and company expectations. The role further developed my confidence with speaking to customers and specialists and my belief is that this experience has provided an excellent basis for my future employment and academic studies.
On voluntarily basis initially joined the non-profit organization as a translator. As the organization grew a portfolio with clients was developed. I supervised a team of four individuals. The department’s responsibility was to translate English computer language into Greek.
OpenS.u.S.E. are a German company with a Greek subsidiary and who distribute the Linux operating system worldwide. Today open S.u.S.E. is a division of Novell.
The thoroughly enjoyable experience has been an influential factor in me decision to study in UK.

From an adolescent age, interested in computers, an interest which grew bigger and bigger and in time influenced my career development. Self taught in DOS, many Microsoft products and Linux software, in addition to the maintenance and development of computer hardware. My experience/ passion has led me to provide individual computer support to both friends and family, which has provided me with an income whilst through my education.
Throughout my time in Swansea, computer networking, security and server development interested me greatly, and influenced my decision to focus my career studies in networking and their related security.
